Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join their team. As a Pediatric Dentist, you will play a vital role in providing specialised dental care to children and adolescents, ensuring their oral health needs are met with exceptional care and attention.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for pediatric patients.
- Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions in children, including cavities, gum disease, and malocclusions.
- Perform restorative procedures, such as fillings, crowns, and extractions, as needed.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and dental assistants to ensure efficient patient care.
- Educate patients and their parents/guardians about proper oral hygiene and preventive measures.
- Create treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique dental needs.
- Monitor and track patient progress, ensuring continuity of care.
- Address dental emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical dental practice.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
- Board certification in pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Current state dental license and DEA registration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and their parents/guardians.
- Empathy and patience in dealing with pediatric patients and their families.
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry.
- CPR and basic life support certification.
